My Princess Prom Project Seeking King William Representation!

My princess prom project

The My Princess Prom Project is a program that will help supply a prom dress to a young lady that might otherwise not be able to afford one. Our mission is to help her feel like a princess by showing her how much we care and know that there is support in celebrating who she is.

The primary objective of My Princess Project is to provide a junior or senior in high school with a prom dress so she can attend her prom. Financial restrictions inhibit these young ladies every year and attending the school prom is a big event in the lives of these high school students. These candidates should not be restricted because of their circumstances and deserve to feel beautiful and confident in who they are. The areas we would like to first focus on will be Hanover County, King William County, New Kent County and Henrico County. The non-profit would like to work with school counselors to find students who are on the free lunch program. It is our hope that we will be able to extend this opportunity to reduced meal programs and also students with disabilities in need in the future. The organization will consist of three board members and an Executive Director (Mary Thumma: non-voting). The first board will have a one-year term and can choose to extend their position.

Our goal is to take this opportunity to “dote” over these girls giving them a chance to enjoy a free shopping experience knowing that their community truly cares about their special day.

My Princess Prom Project is seeking new members to represent the King William County Area!
